Admission Requirements

Academic Requirements

  • Eighteen (18) years of age or older.
  • High school diploma or equivalency (transcript and diploma to be attached).
  • Proof of English Language Proficiency via the PCA PELMO assessment.

Please Note: Applicants will be required to provide proof of Visa and/or Study Permit prior to orientation/ registration day. Students who do not provide this information are not eligible for enrollment on this day.

 

Pre-Clinical Requirements

  • Students will be requested to provide verification of medical tests and vaccinations prior to attending clinical training. Medical tests and vaccinations can be provided for a nominal fee on site in Newfoundland and Labrador prior to clinical training proceeding

Proof of English Language Proficiency Requirements

The fist step in applying to the international PCA Program is taking the customized PELMO – Proof of English Language Mastery Online – assessment.

This assessment is required and cannot be substituted by other English language assessments.

The fee for the PELMO PCA Assessment is CAD$257.55 ($250 + service fee). Click here to purchase the assessment.

 

Application Submission Requirements

  • Completion of Keyin College’s official application form.
  • A deposit of $500 (non-refundable except in the event of a Visa refusal) must be paid upon application approval to hold the seat for the student, as there is limited seating per cohort.
  • Copies of photo and signature pages as they appear on passport.
  • Official high school transcript and copy of diploma.
  • For university/college graduates: official transcript and copy of diploma/degree.
  • Two (2) reference letters supporting entrance into the program. References cannot be provided by family members or friends. References may be provided by individuals such as employers, teachers/instructors, or representatives from volunteer agencies.
  • Written verification of 20 volunteer service hours within the past 2 years. Volunteer service may include, but is not limited to community agencies, school programs, or charitable organizations.

Please Note: All correspondence, reference letters, transcripts and diplomas/degrees must be in English or officially translated to English.

Program Tuition

Payment 1:

  • $10,477.50 [$9,477.50 (50% tuition) | $1,000 (Books and Support Material)].
  • Due 2 weeks before the beginning of the Online Class Component.
  • Due dates: 
    • October 13, 2021 (Fall 2021 Program Start Date)
    • December 12, 2021 (January 2022 Program Start Date)
    • April 25, 2022 (May 2022 Program Start Date)

Payment 2:

  • $9,477.50 (50% tuition).
  • Due on or before week 23 and prior to travel to Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada
  • Due dates: 
    • April 11, 2022 (Fall 2021 Program Start Date)
    • June 20, 2022 (January 2022 Program Start Date)
    • October 17, 2022 (May 2022 Program Start Date)

Application deposit must be transferred via Flywire.

 

Transportation from Airport in NL

Free airport pickup will be available to students when they arrive in St. John’s, NL, Canada.
